短篇英語故事：星星與小孩
One day, a little boy went out to play in the park with his dog. While playing, he suddenly saw a sparkling object in the sky. It was a star! He quickly took out his magnifying glass and saw that it was actually a beautiful shining planet. He marveled at its size and beauty, and decided to take it home to show his family.
As he was walking home with the star, he suddenly heard a voice from above. It was a wise old star that had been watching him all along. The old star told him that it was not a real star, but a small piece of glass that had been blown into a shape resembling a star by the wind. He had actually picked up a bit of a falling glass!
The little boy was very disappointed and upset when he heard this. However, the old star comforted him and said, “But you see, it’s still beautiful! You found it interesting and made it into something even more valuable for yourself and your family. That is true joy and happiness.”
From then on, the little boy always kept this lesson in mind and cherished his memories of the small piece of glass. He learned that true beauty is not always found in what we think it is, but in what we make of it and share with others.
