英文故事：“The Biggest Table in the World”
Once upon a time, there was a little boy named John who loved to play with his friends. One day, his family moved into a new house with a big yard and a big table in the center. John and his friends decided to have a big party and they needed a big table to seat all of them.
The next day, John went to the local store to buy some food and drinks for the party. As he was walking out of the store, he saw a huge table on display in the window. It was the biggest table he had ever seen, with enough space for all of his friends and even some extra seats.
John’s heart beat faster as he imagined all of his friends sitting around the table, laughing and having fun. He decided to buy the table and take it home with him.
When he got home, his friends were amazed by the table and they all had a great time at the party. They played games, ate delicious food and drank lots of drinks around the table. After the party, they all agreed that it was the biggest table in the world.
And so, John’s family’s yard became a gathering place for their friends and neighbors, where they would come to have fun and make memories around the biggest table in the world.
This story teaches us that generosity and kindness can bring happiness and create wonderful memories for everyone involved. Big or small, a table is a table is a table!
