He was a prominent composer of the Classical era, known for his over 600 works that span symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. Mozart's talent became evident at a young age; he composed his first symphony at the age of 8. His father, Leopold Mozart, took him on a tour of European countries, where Mozart's music captivated audiences. He is considered one of the greatest composers of all time and is among the most enduringly popular classical composers.

Among Mozart's most famous works are Eine kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music, 1787) and the operas Don Giovanni (1787) and Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute, 1791).
