Marie Curie was a French professor of physics born in Poland in 1867. She became interested in physics at a young age, and despite Poland not admitting women to universities at the time, she was determined to study in Paris. In Paris, she lived a poor life but worked hard and succeeded in obtaining a first-class degree in physics two years after arriving. In 1895, she married Pierre Curie, a brilliant scientist, and together they conducted research on radioactive matter, discovering polonium and radium. In 1904, they were awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. After Pierre's death in 1906, Marie was deeply shocked。
